Die VG startete am Samstag Morgen und bereits am Sonntag haben sie gekuschelt und sich gegenseitig geputzt. :herz: Zunächst haben sie sich aus sicherer Entfernung beobachtet, es lagen aber keine Aggressionen in der Luft. Es ist kein Fell geflogen oder Ähnliches.

Europa (die kleine Weiß-Silbere aus der Pärchenhaltung) wurde von Meropé-Fleur (große Scheckendame) fast totgebissen und da sie auch nicht mehr die Jüngste ist, musste sie sofort aus der Gruppe. Eigentlich war das mit den Gitterelementen zunächst eine Übergangslösung, da ich mir sicher war, dass dieser Streit durch das Gitter weiter geht. Aber erstaunlicherweise gibt es keinen Ärger am "Gartenzaun". Alle scheinen sehr glücklich mit dieser Lösung. Europa (fast 10) kann ganz in Ruhe mit dem zwar jungen, aber sehr faulen Tomte kuscheln und die 6er-Gruppe kann Action nach ihrem Ermessen machen.

:rollin: Das sagen irgendwie alle. :D
In der Praxis ist es allerdings nicht so. Zunächst stehen Sachen auf dem Fensterbrett, die ich jedesmal runter räumen müsste (habe es mit gekipptem Fenster probiert, da bleibt aber vieles stecken oder an der Scheibe von außen kleben :rollin: ). Außerdem kann ich das Gemüse, was ich für die Kleinen brauche, gar nicht in der Küche lagern. Dafür ist es zu viel - oder unsere Küche zu klein, je nachdem. :D Im Gehege habe ich einen Tisch gebaut, der genug Platz zur Lagerung und Verarbeitung bietet. :)

Wie alt ist Morpheus? Er sieht z. Zt. stark angeschlagen aus, das Fell... Schaut deutlich älter aus als Europa.

Europa hat eine Facialislähmung, dadurch sieht sie so "matschig" aus.

Ja, Europa hat eine Facialislähmung, aber Morpheus hat eine chronische Augenentzündung. Das entstand durch eine kleine Augenverletzung und durch den Schnupfen, den leider alle haben. Mein kleiner Kosinus hat ihn am Augenlid verletzt, das haben wir natürlich behandelt und die Stelle ist leicht vernarbt. Durch die Vernarbung entstand ein kleiner Spalt zwischen Lid und Auge, sodass es sich wieder entzündet hat und so weiter... Zudem hat er öfter mal etwas auf die Augen bekommen und die Schnupfenerreger tun ihr übrigens... Mittlerweile ist es ohne das Zutun von Bisschen chronisch entzündet. Er bekommt jeden Tag eine antibiotische Augensalbe (Posifenicol) dagegen, so können wir es gut im Griff behalten. Das, was so schlimm aussieht, sind vor allem die kahlen Stellen. Ich schneide das Fell unter den Augen weg, sodass man dort den Eiter besser wegwischen kann und es sich nicht im Fell festsetzt und Wunden hervorruft. Die Augenentzündungen hat er bestimmt schon seit 1,5 Jahren.

Sollte man meinen, oder? :D Auch auf der Seite von Europa und Tomte gäbe es "Ausstiegshilfen", aber bisher hat keiner irgendwelche Anstalten gemacht, zu der anderen Gruppe zu gelangen. Sie leben einfach als zwei Gruppen nebenher. :herz: Ursprünglich war das nur eine kurzzeitige Notlösung, nachdem Meropé-Fleur Europa sehr heftig mehrmals verletzt hat. Aber dann wurde schnell klar, dass die beiden Mädels jetzt genau das haben, was sie wollten: Mero ist wohl froh, dass Europa weg ist und Europa ist froh, dass sie ihren Tomte für sich allein hat. Und alle sind glücklich. :D Jetzt habe ich auch keine Angst mehr, dass irgendwer nochmal versuchen sollte, zu den anderen zu gelangen. Meine Gruppe ist alt und sehr krank...

Ja, das stimmt. Morpheus ist fast 9 Jahre alt. Für einen Riesen natürlich ein tolles Alter. :herz: Genau, im Gegensatz zu Europa sieht man es ihm auch wirklich an. Nicht nur, dass das Fell etwas stumpf ist, sondern an den kahlen Stellen im Gesicht sind richtige Falten. :herz: Aber er hält sich wirklich wacker, das muss man schon sagen. Und das, obwohl er Zahnproblem hat (1x wöchentlich Korrektur) und dazu auch ab und zu in Narkose gelegt werden muss. Außerdem hat er eben Schnupfen, die chronische Augenentzündung, ist Syphillis- und EC-Träger und hat Arthrose. Trotzdem kann er noch sehr gut sagen, wenn ihm was nicht passt und rennt wie ein junges Reh, wenn es Gartenauslauf gibt. :D

Klar! Bei einigen meiner Kaninchen sieht man ihnen schließlich die Krankheiten an. Da muss man natürlich nachfragen. :)

:D Nene, ich glaube, er will hier bleiben. Cilli droht auch schon immer damit, dass es sein könnte, dass er plötzlich weg ist, nachdem sie da war. Da er ja so winzig ist (1kg) würde sie ihn auch in die Hosentasche stecken, damit ich beim Anblick einer Transportbox nicht Verdacht schöpfe. :rollin:
